World's largest Telescope Skyeye-1

China is building one of the fastest astronomical computers, which will serve as the world's largest radio telescope. This Supercomputer Skyeye-1, capable of a quadrillion computing operations per second, is being constructed to support space exploration. The 500 metre aperture spherical telescope (FAST) will search for alien life far put in the cosmos

This telescope with a dish size of 30 football fields is located deep in the mountains of Southern Guizhou. The construction began in March 2011 and when it is completed in 2016, China's space tracking scope will be extending from the moon's orbit to the outside edge of the solar system. A radio signal as far as tens of billions of light years away could possibly be caught by this telescope.

The gigantic radio telescope will cost approximately 1.2 billion Yuan ( 120 million Euros ), making it the biggest astronomy project China has ever had.

Four Nobel prize winners in one remarkable family

We all know that possessing a Nobel Prize for an individual is a high credit for his life time achievement.  One Nobel prize speaks about the sincerity on the hard work done and isn’t it astonishing to find a family filled with Nobel Laureates ? It is amazing to know the Curie family where four of the family members have won Nobel prizes.

Mary Curie won :
1. Nobel Prize in Physics – 1903
2. Nobel Prize in Chemistry – 1911

Her Husband, Pierre Curie won :
3. Nobel Prize in Physics – 1903

Their daughter, Irene-Joliot Curie won :
4.Nobel Prize for Chemistry – 1935

Irene’s husband, Jean Frederic Joliot won :

The Nobel prize winning root of Japan

It is a plant called Wasabi which is extensively cultivated in the stream beds of mountain river valleys in  Japan, Tasmania, Hawaii and Oregon. The root of this plant is light green in color and resembles ginger. It is very nutritious and hence grated and used in Japanese cuisine.

Japan takes the privilege of planting Wasabi for the first time. In the 10th Century AD, Japan cultivated Wasabi and introduced it to the rest of the world. Growing Wasabi is not only a difficult task but time-consuming too as the roots take a minimum of two years’ time to become fully developed.

Hence, purchasing wasabi proves to be very expensive. The grated stems and leaves are widely used in Japanese Sushi and Salad recipes.

Wasabi’s most significant characteristic is the strong pungency. Once the stem is grated, it has to be consumed within 15 minutes; else it loses the flavor. So, the Japanese grate the stem and preserve the paste in ready-to-use tubes. Its hotness equals that of chili pepper and creates vapors that stimulate the nasal passage. The burning sensation of wasabi is short-lived compared to the hotness of chili but a bit of overdose may be quite painful.

Wasabi has natural healing properties similar to all Indian herbs. It eradicates cancerous cells, reduces the effect of allergy, asthma and bone deficiencies and also controls blood clotting thus preventing paralysis and heart ailment.

Now we are still eager to learn, how did wasabi win a Nobel Prize ? If there is fire or smoke, the smoke alarm goes off so that we can run to safety. But, How do you wake a deaf person in the middle of the night if there's a fire?  Japanese scientists have come up with a new type of alarm which squirts the essence of wasabi whose pungent smell makes the person run away from it.  This lifesaving piece of work won the Japanese Researchers the award of the Nobel prize for chemistry.

Cinnamon in weight loss program

What is the only food that doesn't spoil ?

It is honey which is an abundant and vital medicine,  referred to as Liquid Gold.

Let's see how we can utilize honey, combined with a common kitchen ingredient Cinnamon for weight loss.

The below solution should be prepared at night before going to bed.

1. Take 1 part crushed cinnamon to 2 parts raw honey. For Example, 1 tsp cinnamon to 2 tsp honey

2. Boil 1 cup or 250 ml of water

3. Pour the hot water over cinnamon and cover it, Let it sit aside for 30 minutes

4. After it is cooled, add honey. Important tip is, never add honey when it is hot as the heat will destroy the enzymes and other nutrients in the raw honey.

5. Mix well, strain the solution and drink 1/2 portion of this before going to bed.

6. Cover the remaining 1/2 and put it in the fridge

6. Morning after wake up, drink the refrigerated solution in empty stomach. Do not reheat it. If you cannot drink cold, wait till it slightly comes to room temperature.

Important Notes
 :

>> Do not add lime or ginger to this recipe

>> It is effective only before going to bed and in the morning empty stomach.

>> Measure your inches before taking it and after a month. See the difference.

>> Initially, you can see that inches are lost but after a particular time, you will reach a plateau and weight loss will not be there anymore

>> This is because the cinnamon and honey cause a cleansing effect in the digestive tract and cleans out parasites and other fungus and bacteria that slow down the digestion, causing a toxic build up. Once this is all flushed out, then weight loss slows down.

>> At this stage, exercises helps increase weight loss. Cut down the quantity of cinnamon and honey and gradually stop it after sometime.
